Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv)

What?

IChemE is able to award CEnv registration through the Society for the Environment. The title demonstrates virtuosity in and commitment to sustainable environmental management and development. Registration aims to provide:

  • recognition of expertise in environmental management
  • legal credibility, enabling expert witness participation at a defined standard
  • demonstration of commitment to sustainability

Who?

Chartered Chemical Engineers with CEnv registration might be:

  • in charge of setting environment and/or sustainability policy
  • responsible for environmental/sustainability management, legislation and registration(s)
  • supporting teams delivering environmental and sustainability improvements
  • in a sector with strong environmental or sustainability focus
